Nashbar Front Rack/bag and lowriders?
Hey everyone,
I'm planning for a tour from Connecticut to Wisconsin and am certain I'll need front panniers for this one.
I've been using the Nashbar front rack and bag combo in lieu of a handle bar bag (https://www.flickr.com/photos/zsp1000...75135/sizes/o/), and I just think it's great.
But now, does anyone know if I can fit a set of low riders underneath it?
I'm thinking the Jannd low riders (with the arc being forward, instead of close to the fork) could do the job. But does anyone have any experience with this set up?

I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Haven't tried mounting my Nashbar low rider underneath my Nashbar front rack yet, but I'll let you know if it works ok. One question for you: does your Nashbar front bag fit tightly at the bottom where the hooks fit under the points on the rack? Mine is way too loose and rattles all the time. I don't think the bag will pop off the rack b/c of the velcro straps, but I"m used to the hooks having a much tighter grip on the rack with my other Nashbar panniers. Just wondered if you're finding the same thing w/ your front bag.

hook loose
i do have the same problem with the hooks being loose. I'll probably zip tie it down for the long ride, just so the rattle doesn't drive me nuts.

I had the bottom hook of my nashbar bags bounce loose and wrap around my front hub. This caused a crash when the wheels locked up. The idea of using zipp ties sounds like a good one.

I could not use both the Nashbar mini rack and a Delta low rider together on a 26" wheel.

The delta low rider has the arc close to the frame, so that's a clear no-go. Looking at schematics of the Jandd there should be plenty of clearance for the arc. I'm just wondering about the panniers scrunching against the nashbar bag/ front rack
