Lance on the silver dollar coin?
No plan to do it as far as I know but wouldn't that be a great idea? He is a national hero and stands for some very good values i.e. integrity, hard work, dedication to worthy causes, etc. etc. Yes, some may question other of his qualities but I would argue that he would be a better candidate than some of our worthless politicians and I think he would be more recognizable to the public than Sacaguwea. The Discovery team in TTT could be on the obverse of the coin. Any thoughts?

You gotta be dead to be on a coin or a stamp in the US.
Maybe one of those "special edition commemorative" coins or stamps they advertise out of small island nations.... usually see those in the back of magazines alongside the Princess Di stamps and plates and what-not....

No living people on US coins, I believe. Unless something Real Bad(TM) happens to Lance, he won't be on any coin in this country any time soon.
That aside, I think it would be cool, but it will never, ever happen, IMO. A sports figure on a coin? No way.

I wouldn't call him a national hero. And you couldn't put the team on the back either, that's would have to be for Crowe!

gotta love the state quarters. my favorite is still the Connecticut one with just the big oak tree on the reverse. Most of them are too cluttered for such a small space. The Vermont one with the guy tapping a maple tree looks like he's heeding nature's call....
