SI Turbo clone?

I've read alot of good things about the Selle Italia Turbo reissue. I remember this saddle in it's original days, but never got around to riding one (I was a Flite user).

Now, I see the Fyxation Curve and it seems to look quite a bit similar to the Turbo, at a reduced cost. Has anyone here compared the two? Are they similar?

Turbo: https://www.selleitalia.com/se_it3/pr...agina_vintage/

Curve: https://www.fyxation.com/products/catalog/curve-saddle

Thanks.

even the synthetic reissues are terrible. the originals are on CL all the time in varied states and conditions. i currently have three, an 85 and two from 87. all are in reasonable and ridable shape and i've never paid more than $40 for one.

Thanks for the reply and info. However, I was more interested in knowing about the Curve - to save on the wallet Though if it is junk then even a cost savings it is not worth it - my buttocks will thank me. (I'll also keep my eyes open on CL for an original Turbo)

The 1980 reissues that the OP linked to are made of genuine leather and are very close to the originals.

The Charge Bucket also looks a bit like the Curve - wonder if they feel the same.

I bought one to see if I would like the shape of the turbo since its pretty much the same, and after I liked it I got a used turbo off craigslist and sold the bucket for pretty much the same as the turbo cost me, i think the materials on the turbo breath better to cut Down on how sweaty my posterior got when I'd be in the saddle for a while IMO buckets not garbage but it is not even close to how nice og turbos feel

I love the synthetic turbo reissues. Turns out saddle choice is very personal, and cannot be figured out online. Imagine that.

Does the flag somehow make it more comfortable?

I will reiterate what everyone has said, saddles are personal and whatever I like, you may hate.

With that being said, I have the Fyxation Curve because I wanted a turbo, but couldn't find a reissue that wasn't made out of suede. It looks great, but it's heavy, and it's much softer than a turbo so it hurt my ass after a 50 miles ride. Ended up buying a used turbo on eBay. Here's a picture if you want to check it out.

I'm not fond of the vinyl Turbo reissue either. The leather one is much better.

It's funny how good I thought the vinyl reissue was until I bought a leather one. I did centuries on it and after using the leather one I couldn't even ride 10 miles to work with it. I can't explain why but my ass gave me all the justification I need.
