55 as indicated by the Sheriff on the side of the road who was shooting radar. That was before compact cranks, don't think I could do it on that road anymore, too old and with a compact, nope don't think so...

85 km/h descending on Whiteface Mountain. The rough road made it pretty scary. After I hit 85 I slowed down to around 70.

Throw the stick!!!!
I wrecked once on my DF bike at about 45mph, and walked away from it after I became conscious. Later I was life-flighted to the hospital and they discovered I had fractured the top 3 vertebrae, but I was not found to be brain dead.
Today my Garmin said I averaged 270mph for 3.48 miles, but I'm not sure I trust that information.

My Garmin Edge 500 said 63.5MPH, I was skeptical at first but my buddy ridding by me got the same speed from his Polar GPS computer.
It sure felt like I was going over 50MPH cause I go 45+ going downhill pretty often.
