Seattle to Portland 2019

I guess not really a tour, but I had a blast this past weekend as a first timer doing the Seattle to Portland 2 day 206 mile ride along with 7,999 or so other folks. Great scenery, amazing support and phenomenal weather. The only downside was airport security on the way through the Portland airport on the way home confiscated my CO2 cartridges - which apparently Baltimore TSA had no problem with on the way out.

I did a CycleBlaze writeup on the STP here.

I was out for a exercise ride and saw a ton of people. It was a great day and you had a little tail wind to Portland. It's good you enjoyed it. It is a popular ride.

Saturday there was a slight headwind that switched to a slight tailwind in the early afternoon. The wind seemed to stay out of the NNW on the slog down Rt. 30 in Oregon on Sunday, but wind was never really a factor on either day - but psychologically it always helps to see flags pointing the same way you are heading!
