Ignoring the fork, it does look like a unique bike.
But $300 shipping? What is the handling fee? And for a folder too.

Looking to rent tiny bike

So I am looking to rent a tiny bike to quit a job. I want to roll in there smoking a blunt and or vape pin and laugh sample food and say f*** off..... $50 shouldn't take that long. Probably won't call the cops on me cuz they all love and respect me. They will just ask me to leave. We could record it. It would become a YouTube sensation. Lol. Willing to leave collateral for bike. I don't want it... I want quit in glory.

I saw that (maybe here?) a year or so back. I'm pretty sure it was word for word the same. I wonder if it's the same person or just something that's very slowly viral. Still funny enough for a second look.

My response to the ad below...

"I'm in Portland, Oregon. Shoot me an email when you get here, and I will meet you... Bring the bike of course, so I can
test ride it before purchasing it. I will make a firm offer at that time. "

Just imagine what it would look like if you took it to ricks american desecrations for a $3,000 resto job!

A steal at $1200 for this grail bike.

Just looked at the post again, they repriced it down to $175 . . . lol

I think this is at a pawn shop, they had several old bikes listed for $1200. I called them about a Miele that was beat up and they wanted $1200 on that too.

I've got a similar looking bike at home I picked up a while back for parts. Someone clearly put it headfirst into something and buckled the top and downtubes, then replaced the front wheel with a nice Campy/Mavic unit and kept on riding. I never got on it though, didn't have the balls to consider it really:

Someone must have bought the Takara name for pennies and decided to slap it on new department store BSOs.

The marketing skills at play here:

Takara Bicycle - $90 (South Minneapolis, MN)
Takara Bicycle

Bike is a couple months old, been used a handful of times. Purchased new on Amazon, 4/5star rating.

Note, no seat included. Picture is from today. Tires are fine, deflated in pic as I was working on it and didn't bother re-inflating yet.

He doesn't even say OBO. Offer him the full asking price of $2 and then sue him for false advertising when he rejects your offer.

Delivery NOT INCLUDED! I have no way to transport this thing, so you must come with your own flat-bed trailer (dual axle recommended).

This was my first thought as well. Then thought the lugset was wrong. Then recalled the late '70's ones. Late '70's would explain the presence of the Sakae Ringyo/Raleigh chainset. Odd that someone chose to fit a R/NR headset. One of the last things folks usually changeout.

No need to fetch the ammo if he was hurling ice cubes.

But, it could make a good training aid for a Golden Retriever.
