Can anyone ID this hub? I got it out of the BOC a few years ago. I'm using it now. It seems to be a pretty nice one with buttery cartridge bearings... and not odd, 32h and standard disc. It's got a set screw on the NDS, which I feel like I've seen before. The only marking is the pattern of squares on the shell. Can't really find TDC to build the wheel "in style"

OK, so I was going to let the box sit, but as I was about to order a part online, it occurred to me there may be a part in the box that I could use instead. Here is the reveal:

Will post my take later as I am still debating a few items, however I did find something that will work for my project! Not as pretty as I would like, but it may be temporary anyway. Will post a pic of it on the bike as well when I get it installed.

MTBR gave me an answer on the hub. It's a Specialized from about ten years ago. It can in theory be converted to 142TA with end caps, but they're not really available except on bikes that shipped that way.

Oh Great and Glorious CrapMaster,
Might I implore you to put me back on the list for receivership of the exalted Box O' Crap. I have been quarantined enough that even the Box O' Crap would be a welcome change from the daily humdrum that is going on here. The War Department is on about my biking hobby and I need a change! I still have box of stuff that came out of the BOC a few months ago, and I am willing to go out on a limb and play the game again. Your humble servant, MH

Anyone else itching to get back on the list?
I will get a pic of my take later. The one item that was just what I needed turned out to be the wrong size, a stem, steeper angle, correct length, correct clamp size for the bar, but I needed it to be a 22.2mm, not a 25.4mm. Rats! So it went back into the box.

Ok, I plan to start building up the list. Let me know who wants in. If anyone is worried about this spreading the virus, I could be talked out of this for a while, but we can start building a list regardless.
Send your prayers and good thoughts towards FBOATSB as he may be fighting this virus we are all trying to avoid. Needless to say, we are not concerned about the liner as we just want him to get healthy.

Since wrenching is on the rise, perhaps it is a good time to restart the movement of the box o' crap.

So the list is now up to five. I am just checking to see if Chr0m0ly was still interested in possibly taking over as the new Crapmaster. If so, we will need to start a new thread, and we can get going when he is ready. If not, I will get the address of the first victim and send the box out this week and continue to look for a replacement.
