The technical portion of the descent heading west was crazy. Despite a warning the night before to use caution, I saw two people who had overcooked corners and ended up in the trees, but they werent hurt.

Nice clean layout. I cant see any journals or blogs though. A few useful looking articles.
I'm a fan of Crazyguyonabike. The layout is a bit unusual but I like it. Once you figure out how to use it. I like the format for reading jornal. Chronological order. Good mix of text and pics. Huge number of journals. I think the owner made a mistake by getting too involved in controversial subjects on the forums. Quite a few user with many journal left. But his site, his rules.
As for packjournal. I'm in two minds about allowing journals to be private. The beauty of CGOAB is the huge shared content. Sure I may self censor compared to what I might write on a journal only visible to friends and family but it isn't a huge deal
I find I an work round cGOAB's limitations. My next tour I'm only carrying a phone, no netbook. It isn't hard to find an app to allow text to be done where there is no wifi and copied and pasted on to the site later.

My favorite photo from my cross country bike tour ( NYC to Vancouver, BC) in 1979. In Wyoming , after climbing / descending the Big Horn Mountains.
