Definitely hard to find one unmolested although they turn up here in the Bay Area from time to time.
Yup, I've been looking for blob and hawk-eyes.

I had an '07 which I went through the modding phase with. It's funny how people remotely even associate modding a car with investment.

Come get my 2001 2.5 RS coupe. Manual too.

I need to have a turbo from the get-go. The way I see it, adding a turbo is a gateway drug for more modifications to come

Such that if I were to turbo a WRX from scratch, I'll skip the traditional top mount intercooler and go for broke with the much superior, but pricier from a mass production-standpoint, front mounted intercooler which would require me to hack up the front bumper a bit and rearrange some vital innerds to make room for the piping.

Or put in a bigger turbo than usual and subsequently having to invest in more supporting modifications. Yeah, I'm terrible.

Exactly. I think the 2.5 RS is one of the best looking cars to come out of Japan but the headache to drop in an EJ20 is not worth it and N/A cars are boring (insert LS1 here).

Scratch that, pistons are boring. Give me a turbo rotary....

Guess I'll just stick to bikes.

Love the GC RS's! So rare to find a clean one and when you do, the price.

today i'm on the 3rd day of having an upper respiratory infection. it blows. fever finally broke overnight. the last couple times i've been sick, i've resisted the usual urge of getting to a doc asap and trying to home remedy. the only difference i've noticed is i feel like crap the same amount of time, but with zero side effects of antibiotics. mucinex, fluids, food, cough drops and rest seem to do as good a job as antibiotics do.

Most upper respiratory infections are viral, so antibiotics would be ineffective anyway. Does your doctor do anything to be sure the infection is bacterial before prescribing antibiotics?

I haven't been to the doctor in the last 3 - 5 years. I honestly don't remember the last time.

...Knock on wood.

Today I rode the fixed gear for the first time in the better part of month. Felt so strange.

Rode 70 miles altogether: 45 fixed on a road group ride around 17 mpg average, let the dog out, then hit gravel for another 25 on the nature boy. Legs broke.

Today I went to REI and Performance Bike. I really like the Novara line of jerseys from REI. They fit me perfectly and I like the plain design and cut of the jersey. They don't make them anymore. They changed over their house brand to something called CO-OP and are heavily promoting it. Well, they look like garbage. I refuse to wear anything hi-viz, and it seems like more and more brands including REI are incorporating hi-viz into their stuff. I have not, and will not wear it.

And Performance Bike? Their stuff is pure garbage. Jerseys look and feel like they are made of Kleenex and silk, and that I would destroy one in less than 3 months. Super thin and poorly made. They are overpriced in comparison. I always say I won't go back to Performance, and I always end up going back wondering why I went in the first place. They have a good selection of DeFeet socks and I like one specific pair of their in house brand riding glasses. That is about it.

i no longer support rei thanks to their #forceofnature campaign. i hate when big box stores get political just for the sake of profit. long story short; for the rest of the year, they will only showcase women on their social media feeds, promote women only events, change gear specifically for women etc. they've got all these statistics that say how women don't have role models, need to be outside more yadda yadda. i am 100% for equality...100%. but when you erase men from your image for the next 7 months, where is the equality?

I tend to agree with this.

The advertisement industry is heavily influenced by women who seem to have an axe to grind toward men.

Commercials on TV portray men as oafs, blowing up the barbecue grill, unable to figure out how a toilet plunger works and so forth. A smug woman typically rolls her eyes and comes to the rescue. The stupid dad theme is used heavily, pretty insulting actually.

I guess the theory is that it's a needed (and deserved) corrective after women have spent so much time being subjugated to men. Time to turn the tables.

But, while I agree 100% that inequality has long been a problem that needs fixing, I don't see how pitting one side against the other does anything other than drive a wedge between the two groups. If the goal is equality, the strategy ought to be to erase the differences rather than to highlight and exacerbate them.

Not for the first time, I'm wishing there were more women on this board.

Really? This is where you draw the line? How does this hurt you?

They aren't putting down men, just celebrating women. Cool with me. I don't need to see dudes on social media to decide where to buy things from.

Get political? Supporting women is a political choice? And for the sake of a profit? I doubt this will be a positive net gain for them considering the business from the men that agree with you they will lose.

Do you really see that many stupid men in adds? Would you prefer to have the woman's route and be hyper-sexualized constantly?

I'm surprised that both of you are so easily insulted.
