Funny, I recognized the color of your siding even before looking over at your user name....

Think you nailed the year - https://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridges...ne-1988-24.htm - Interesting, this has got to be the "entry-level-est" road frame I've seen with shifter braze-ons. A nice affordable roadie option BITD. Stem's been swapped, but looks like even the saddle is original. And oh please, fix that rear brake cable routing, it's like a visual equivalent to fingernails on a chalkboard.

my gf does some painting, nobody's house looks like ours.
the frame is fairly light straight guage chromoloy. I will change the bars out if i keep it. Btw you can fit a 650b by 38 in it no problem.

Hah, I want one but I don't have room for another bike at the moment. I try to keep myself to 3. It's good for me...but also very sad sometimes.

I want a fixed, a hardtail 26er, 3 speed racer...At the moment I have 3 sensible bikes, a road, a touring, and a commuter. Maybe when I have more space and $$$

Good deal! I think I paid $40 for the 1984 specimen I owned for a while. Really lovely bike with a nice ride quality.

At the time I had the '84 B'stone, I was a lot more tied to the Rivendell ethos. The pictured bike had been set up for my wife to ride, before she decided bikes weren't truly her thing. It was a good excuse to kit it out with m'bars. In hindsight, I kinda wish I'd kept it - or, alternative, I kinda wish I'd kept the wheelset seen here and those lovely SunTour Cyclone GT derailleurs!
