1977 Schwinn Volare VL-5
Wondering what this 77 Volare VL-5 might be worth, how rare they are, and any other information that would be valuable.

Wow I don't think I've ever seen one of these before- according to the catalog, double butted Reynolds 531 and first gen Dura Ace. Not sure of the value but a very, very nice bike for sure.

I know in '77 the Volare was just under the Paramount. I have been looking for one for 10 years.

That's a nice bike. List price in 1977 was $495. I think you could get all of that and maybe a bit more.

One came up for sale on the Forum a little while back. The asking price, including shipping, is probably about right. Large size may bring value down a little. Appears to be in very good condition, though.
