Changing brake line/housing

Hi I have a shimano xtr braking system and I want to change my line/housing so I bought new cable and housing for it. When I was about to change it I notice that there is a metal end piece at the end of the housing (not talking about the olive end) which I dont have on my new housing. Is that piece removable and reusable? Or do I have to buy the housing with that piece already attached to it?

you have the wrong hose, what you are showing is the one with the banjo end. Not sure if you can simply cut it if you don't want to return it
Check where you order it. btw: which model XTR are you running?

Hi model number is xtr m9000. Is the banjo piece part of the brake unit itself? Is it possible to somehow pull out the hose from there leaving the banjo attached to the brakes?
