My Bottecchia
Here are a few pictures of latest project. I still have a few details to tweak but she sure is a joy to ride. Please ignore the excess wax.

Nice bike! One of the original Lemond Bottecchia bikes hangs in a small museum near me.

The palmares decals reference the 1986 World Championship but not the 1989 World Chamaionship. Nor does it have the Carnielli 80th anniversary decal applied to the 1989 models. Consequently, the frameset should be a 1987 or 1988 model. This is further corroborated by the presence of the pre-1988 style of Columbus decal, of which old stock was still being used into early 1988 by some manufacturers. 1987 and 1988 pre-date Lemond's TdF victory for Bottecchia and existence of the ADR-Bottechia team. Consequently, these decals, along with the MAVIC and Columbus fork blade decals, were almost certainly applied by a former owner and it's not one of the factory issue team replica models.

That’s a nice Bottecchia. I unknowingly emulated your paint scheme when I repainted my Spago Bottecchia.
