Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Beautiful. I love the look of cosmics, especially when de-stickered.

I picked up the 105 double for 35 brand new. Since I live in a pretty flat area I dropped the triple. It was more preference rather then upgrade.

I just weighed her by a digital step-on scale, and it gave me a reading of 17.5lbs. I did this setting her back wheel on and me holding her up as well as standing on top holding her and subtracting my weight. I got the same weight both times.
So somewhere around 17-18 lbs before changing the wheelset.

Those are fun. Several years back they has a classic car rally there and it was a blast. Mother-in-law lives up the hill and when the Padres sucked there, we would park and walk down. Used to see 20-30 games a year there. We may see one a year now that they play downtown. Too dang expensive for the Average Joe.

Some progress with my extreme make over ww edition on my old back up bike.
SA your back up bike is worthy of a full time ride for me. Its looking very nice.

Thanks guys. BTW, I think I am going to revert back to the old bars, and stem, but with glossy black Fizik bartape. I think I may paint the shift levers a fresh coat of black. Not only is the original setup nearly 100g lighter. I think the traditional bend looks better on the horizontal top tube frame compared to the compact bars. I did well in crits with it last year, they are much stiffer than the K-Wings, but I do prefer the shape of the K-Wings. That is all they have going for them. I am also considering putting on a KCNC crankset, to cut even more weight off. I have it, just don't know if I want to use it on this bike or not.

Close up to expose legitness:
