They cleaned up well and heck of deal compared to spending nearly $60 on a pair of campy bottles from eBay.

Found this pic in my Flickr archives today - totally forgot about it. Alas, I no longer own this one but it was a blast when I did!
Repainted/decaled Super Prestige, originally silver/gray "marble" finish. I ran it with the ITM aerobar setup as the frame was a wee bit too small. That's a Corima carbon seatpost. Most everything else is Campy 50th Anniversary.

What did I just buy? Early 80’s Tommasini. Haven’t seen one like this before. Anyone have any idea what model it could be?

That’s what I’m thinking too. As soon as I get it I will snap a pic of the B.B. and send it to Barbara to verify.

A trip to Rome and Athens is in the works for mid March 2019...even though the Tommasini shop is 2 hours by train from Rome hopefully ill convince my wife into letting me make the solo trip to Grosseto.

Non-Air fork, absence of chrome (though it could have been painted over), Columbus dropouts and lack of a front derailleur hanger have me leaning towards a Tre-tubi.

if the sticker is correct and it’s Columbus Cromor, then it’s mid 1990s not early 1980s:

Ok, sorry I’m viewing on a mobile and thought I saw a Cromor sticker.
if you email the frame number to Barbara at Tommasini she can usually tell you the date of build to the nearest month.

I emailed Barb a week ago, so waiting on response. The BB has no numbers but a very slight V stamped in there.

New happy Tommasini owner
Hello all.
I got this beautiful bike few weeks ago, I cleaned up and did some TLC.
Looks gorgeous with original paint (aside some tiny chrome pitting up on the rear triangle), overall great bike.
I love this bike! I could not wait to own a Tommasini, and the components are in great shape too (Campy 8 speed Chorus).
This should be around 1990/91 build for the 15th Anniversary.
One thing I want to share with you, is that this bike compare to my other vintage (SLX/SL Tubing with 1980's Campy Victory) is mush heavier (1.5 pound circa)
I have a 1986 Pinarello Treviso and a 1990's Zullo both with Campy Victory and both are lighter than the Tommasini with the same size 56.
Can it be that 8 speed Chorus group is heavier then 6 speed Victory? The frame set is a SLX Super Prestige so shouldn't be lighter then SL frame set? Any thought?

In case anyone is wondering, this is the response I got back from Barbara:
The frame is custom production made for a shop in Pistoia, it is half way between a Racing and a Prestige, built in mid 80's
Regards,
Barbara

Needs a different saddle..those endzone saddles tend to lose their padding strength quick.
