Vegetarians do not eat animals or their products. The term has been a bit corrupted to including eating animal products not taken from death but eating someone else's flesh is not vegetarian. Though yes in a good number of cases changing your diet is a great way to help lessen or remove symptoms of all sorts of body issues. Not in every case but I have known a lot of people who have adopted a proper vegetarian/plant based diet who have severely lessened or eliminated all sorts of stuff but one should always seek help from medical professionals however not harming others is in general a good thing whether it effects your health or not.

In terms of electric trikes, there is nothing to contribute here the thread hasn't really been active recently it is a 10 year old thread. However if you want opinions on the subject. get a good recumbent with a reliable motor and good support. It will be more stable and if you have issues you will not be left in the lurch.

I've put about 5 miles on the XP Trike. My wife put about 25 miles on the XP Trike,
still keeping it on the standard mode for eventually the trike will go to the in-laws soon.
Wife keeps the PAS level at 1, pedaling along she's able to keep the trike moving along at 12 mph constant, even on hills 400-500 ft. long.
Me riding along had to put significant effort to keep up with her on the same hill, granted I was on analog 40 lb. cargo bicycle.
I weight about 175 lb. fully dressed and wife is about 140 lb., in-laws are about 120-130 lb.
I put a mirror & bell on the handlebar, swapped out the long suspension seatpost to a lightweight MTB seatpost, so seat can be even lower position than OEM; in-laws being under 5' tall.
Folding the XP trike down is simple, taking the seat off the trike makes it even much smaller
overall size gets pretty compact, likely able to fit inside many SUVs.
Size comparison against my gravel bike, Fiido T1 & 20" folding bike:

Lectric is KILLING it, these days.

I like Lectric better than Rad. Rad, IMO, is overrated. And, as you may well know, I'm a former radmission owner. It was solid, but not up to my personal liking.

A lame update for this forum
Hello,
I was searching for something in my mailbox and ran across this old thread.
I just wanted to once again say thanks to all the folks that gave advise. I did look into the options but ultimately, due to cost and priorities, opted not to invest in a trike.
My wife is now mostly getting around in an electric wheelchair. She would love to ride a bike/trike and have the wind in her hair, but I think those days are unfortunately behind us. We also moved away from the beaches so the charm of riding it on the beach is no longer even an option now.
As far as her health, i'm glad to say that although she has very limited mobility, the RA did not get as bad as it could have. Her immobility is from lung issues, back/spine issues, as well as hips...some of it is related to RA, or by-product of some to the meds for RA, and probably some of it is from other things. It's hard to know for sure.
we did try a few dietary things, but not disciplined enough to give up things completely as some of those things suggest. Also, the damage she already has is not going to get reversed.
I'm blessed that we still have a relatively great life together after all this time. Don't get me wrong though...we have life problems like others, but I have found an appreciation of my life with her.
I'm sorry I did not revisit my post and sorry I don't have any 'good' feedback on a trike experience. However, I do love that you all provided your experience and knowledge to us that do not know.
