Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

SRAM Apex 1 crankset BB compatiblilty

Hey all,

Apologies if this has been asked or discussed previously but am wanting to upgrade my Kona Rove groupset from Claris to a Sram Apex 1 set up, but cant get my pea brain around the BB situation. The apex crankset has the following listed as compatible bottom brackets, BB30/PF30-68mm, GXP/PF GXP 68mm, does anyone know if this is even close to compatible what my Rove has, CH52. Sorry for being a dullard but cant quite be sure that its all gonna work, so any advice, experience or ideas would be grand,

Cheers,

A

The CH52 is a typical square-taper bottom bracket with English threads. If you're getting an Apex 1 GXP crankset, you just need an English threaded GXP bottom bracket, like this one.
