25" 1985 Schwinn Voyageur. Complete or Frame and Fork

Sold!

Correction: bike is 1985, and I found a comparable touring bike so I'm looking to sell. Though cool Randonneuring stuff will certainly be considered.

There's some paint chips and a little rust. The picture shows the only real patch I found.

Now offered for sale.

$300+ shipping for complete bike.

$150+ shipping for frame, fork and headset. Additional components are negotiable.

Anybody have an idea whether or not 700c will work with this frame? What kind of clearance does it have?

The cantilever bosses are narrow spaced. I don't have access to the bike right now to check clearances. As I recall some cantilever brake sets like Deore LX's have more adjustment than others, and a wider rim can help with the braking geometry changes. How the Raleigh treating you?

I was able to use 700c wheels no problem with it. While it was a fine bike, I ended up selling it because it occupied the same space as the Paramount Touring bike I bought. I would have kept it if I had been able to put 35's and fenders on it but the biggest I could get on it was 32's and fenders. If this Schwinn could do 35's and fenders, it would make a nice stablemate to the Paramount and I could take the fenders off of it.

I might not be able to check the clearances until after the holidays. I'll let you know when I do.
