So I did see someone today in the game with "IDDQD" in his user name, pushing 6 w/Kg for an hour or so. I guess he's been cheating since the mid 90s.
I'd wave to him just for the nostalgia.

I have no idea how to answer the original question -- I have only the vaguest idea what "Zwift" is. That said, I do have a question of my own: do virtual c/f and aluminum bikes virtually asplode after five virtual years?

Did you virtually pay full price for your virtual carbon fiber and/or aluminum bikes or did you pay virtual chinese currency for them?

Here’s an email I just sent to the game’s creator to get his feedback-
“Hi!
I'm 6'4" 210lbs,solid,& Fairly Fit.I tend to outwork EVERY tool I use in life so Cycling I expect to be the same to a degree.I ride FAST,& HARD.Slamdancing would probably define my style of riding best.ESPECIALLY in turns.
Recently got a ALL Carbon Bike only to learn THE HARD WAY that they too come with CHEAP Tires,& Tubes!
WIPED OUT! HAMMERING a turn on a Downhill Slant, front tire Blew out INSTANTLY while COMPLETELY Commited to the Corner.
Not sure that there's ANYTING in the Zwift virtual world out there that can keep up with me,but I at least have to try,& get my Paws on whatevers the closest to it.
I REALLY would appreciate ALL useful Input on the subject of virtual CARBON usable under EXTREME VIRTUAL Road Riding/Racing Conditions.
~Dan”
I’ll let you guys know what he says.

So far, I'm waiving Zwift. Adding expensive, techie stuff to already-fake cycling strikes me as sad. (Say I, a victim of CA unbrutal winters.)

I don’t know about frames failing after a set interval in the game, but I’m really concerned that my style of riding will cause premature virtual frame wear, leading to spontaneous failure (an “asplosion”).

My bike has a crabon -- sorry, carbon -- fork and seatstays, and an aluminum main frame. There is no steel, which I now understand is 'real'. So I am concerned that either the fork or the rear triangle will asplode, or the main frame crumple given that my bike is now six+ years old and sees heavy use. It is an 'unreal' bike. That's in the 'real' (steel) world; if I were to venture into virtual reality, that is to say transfer my apparently 'unreal' bike metaphorically into a virtual world, would its inherent lack of 'real' also carry into the virtual world, thus exposing me (potentially) to virtual life-threatening failure?
These are my concerns, concerns that I think everyone who utilizes unreal materials should share.

!!!UPDATE 01/21/16!!!
I spent my morning trainer session waving at strangers on Zwift, took some screenshots-
NOT A SINGLE WAVE IN RESPONSE. I even dinged my bell just to make sure they saw me, and then rode alongside each person and waved at least 12-15 times to see if they'd wave back. A couple of them just accelerated and dropped me, one did a quick u-turn to get away, and another immediately disconnected.
CONCLUSION:
Virtual riders are jerks. They race-faced me and I feel like this game is no longer enjoyable.
Please discuss.

First one might have missed you. As for the second one, maybe people in Japan wave differently?
Third one is definitely a jerk. No helmet, reading the newspaper while riding, not waving back... Is there a way to report despicable people like him?

Maybe they had to avoid some virtual mountain bikers and were still virtually cooling off. It may be they don't want to half-a$$ wave back to you.

But what about the smartphoneless riders on rollers? And those with no arms? If you call them jerks too when they can't control it, you're a racist. Or worse, a Nazi. Think of the children!!!

Another update: One of the people I waved at multiple times found me on Strava and gave me kudos for the virtual ride.
I'm kind of torn on this. On the one hand, it's nice that he acknowledged our virtual time together.
On the other hand, he did so after the fact, as if his workout was so important that he couldn't take a moment to perform a sweaty alt+tab and look up keyboard shortcuts for the game so that he could wave right back at me.
Should I kudos him back?
Is 1 virtual kudo = 1 real kudo, or not?
Each day I use this program, there are just more questions than answers.
