had to laugh, watching this futuristic show, Westworld season 2, and some guys are about to examine a dead robot , and the technician is handed a futuristic bag with his tools.....yup, an Ortlieb red pannier.....
fricken bike nerds....only some of us would recognize this.
I can just imagine on the set...hey, we need some cool looking bag for joe blow technician to have his future tools in....oh, Ive got one of my panniers here, how about it? Sure....
well, at least it is red for the holidays.

LOL...yea...lazy props master. Path of least resistance is usually the one taken. "CRAP WE NEED A BAG TO CARRY? HEY! Did you commute-in today? You mind if we use a pannier for a shot? PERFECT!"

and marcus and 3speed, I agree.
Just goes to show you that for the vast, vast majority of folks, a cycling pannier is a rather foreign thing that they never use or see or recognize, so it kind of makes sense that this "bag of tools" is some weird looking thing that in my opinion, worked fine fitting into the visuals of this "sometime in the future" show.
