Bikes: My main, forever Ride, is My 1973 Schwinn Varsity named Henry. He's a tough old number. But I usually have a herd of varying size onhand that I am working on. I fix delapidated bicycles back to working dependable condition and put them up for sale .

Did a 250 mile training ride this weekend from Malibu to Gaviota and back. Between fast food stops () we stopped for a photo at Faria Beach.

Both are within a few miles of my home near Milledgeville in middle Georgia. There are hills just ahead of and just behind both of those flat scenes. We are right on the Fall Line, the transition between the Piedmont region and the Coastal Plains. We have plenty of hills and some flat areas and we have red clay and white sand and everything in between. Here is another shot taken not far from the other two.

Short version: steep descent ending in a T intersection where I had to make a right turn. As I lined up to make the turn near the bottom a car cut the corner a bit short and I had to change my line into the curve and as I made the turn got too close to the edge of the pavement and my wheel caught the edge and took me into the ditch and I went over the handlebars landing on my head, shoulder and knee. Could have been worse.......

the heavy morning humidity didn't make the riding comfortable, but did provide some good visual effects!

Sure. I've run into JOM, K-Dogg, Dr. Pain and others of the Gravel Cyclist crew at several middle Georgia gravel riding events. Here's their video report of a race/ride I helped organize.
