What is the strangest thing you seen while riding your bike?

This can be in the city, country? on road or mtb. or commuting or anywhere of any type of cycling.

Love to hear those stories people.

Mine would be a time I once saw a guy trying to push his car up a hill. I guess ran out of gas.

Another time last week while in the country in a quiet area. saw some old dude walking half naked waste down on side of the road carrying a basket of blueberries "eww"

saw a cyclist on a old old 80's cheap ten speed on the hwy riding on just bare rims. OUCH!

seen one guy ride with helmet on backwards.

Saw a guy in the summer with a snowblower on top of his house, on the roof. I have no clue how he got it up there.

Old lady selling perogies on side of the road and ice cream on a hot hot day.

A woman and a man having doggy sex out in the open 5 feet from the bike trail. You'd think they would have considered that this was a trail commonly used by the public before getting into the groove. I could have kicked the dude in the rear end and ridden off but I didn't have the courage.
This actually sounds appealing to me. I think I'd have stopped there for some calories and coolness prior to championing a hill or two.

A guy dragging a rolling luggage bag behind his bike, the wheels had since long worn away to nothing.

Cars turning right from the center lane of a three lane road while having their left turn signal on.

This was dirt bike riding but easily could have been mountain bike riding. MOBILE METH LAB! Glad it was with me on my dirt bike and not the mountain bike!! 520cc of KTM can get up and go pretty fast

My wife loves nature. Since we married I keep noticing things.
The strangest was that Colorado has pelicans and I had never noticed them before.
People wise .... I guess it was being stuck behind another rider in a rainstorm who was wearing white shorts.

Yesterday, spotted 7 raccoons fishing in Fenno Creek. Thought at first they were cats. Nice to see raccoons earning an honest living rather than knocking over trash cans.

Passed a women who was cycling topless on the Erie Canal towpath near Rochester NY this weekend.

Well, OK, the problem was I honestly could not tell if it was a 90-year-old woman, or a 90-year-old guy with the world's biggest moobs.

One time in Oakland we came upon-- I say we because there was a group of us riding home after taking the Cal Trans Bay Bridge Shuttle--a man down from a drive by shooting.

I highly recommend young women cyclists go topless to inspire us men to put more steam in conquering those hills!

As it happens, the part I was cycling was very close to Genesse Valley Park, where the infamous "topfree seven" ( https://rocwiki.org/Rochester_Topfree_Seven ) staged a bunch of topless protests in the early 90's.

Yet another reason to enjoy the towpath... :-)

I was riding my bike through an older suburban neighborhood and almost hit a goat wandering about.

There are two flocks of wild turkeys that I pass during my commute in S. Winnipeg ( pop. 750,000), of course we are used to them so it's not strange for us, but for someone not from here....

While riding out on a country road I witnessed two neighbours having a proper fist fight. Well as best as two uncoordinated overweight guys could muster. I slowed down to watch but did not stop as I wanted no part of it. I saw the one guy leave as I was looking back from up the road.

I think they were fighting about the one neighbour doing burnouts or peeling his tires in front of the other guys house as they both have sports cars or that was what one guy was yelling about.

Also saw a deer trip over a fence, almost caused me to crash as I was laughing so hard hearing that thing snort and fall on its face.

I was riding up the NCR toward PA, and thought I saw a woman with a child sitting along the trail ahead of me, just obscured by the foilage. As I got closer, they jumped up and it was a doe and a fawn. Mom went left, off of the trail, and baby crossed the trail ahead of me, and did basically the same thing, jumping up over some bushes but not quite making it over. It hung draped over the bushes for a second, like it was stunned, then started kicking and got free, and took off like a shot.

Maybe 15 years ago, while riding to work in the early morning, came upon a crime scene at an intersection with lots of police and a dead man on the side street covered with a sheet and outlined by chalk marks. When I rode home that evening, the chalk marks remained.

While riding my mtb atop a remote grass-covered levee along the Mississippi I saw what looked like a person "balled up" on top of the levee. I cautiously approached. Turned out it was an attractive, friendly young woman with a big sun hat and a camera. She was taking up close pictures of little flowers in the grass. We exchanged greetings and I went about my way. This was several miles from anything.

Riding in Ohio farm country, I came across a bull and a cow doing the big trick.

Also, in the same area, almost crashed into a very large ostrich.

came across an old man in his sixties lying on his back in a ditch
so i stopped to help him
on a remote country road miles from anyone or anything
he was barefoot
i asked him how he got there, and said he walked somewhere
turns out he was drunk
and prob someone dumped him out of a car

police came, ends up he had warrants so it was worth the stop

I parked under a small tree during a nice ride on my new Focus Mares. As I bid farewell to the lone tree and thanked it for a shady respite I was surprised to find not one... not two... not even three... but FOUR ladies shoes resting rather helter-skelter upon a short, round concrete structure. Four completely different shoes, but all similarly styled and, from what I could discern from a cautious distance, approximately the same size.

Weird.
