Thank you for the reply. I ended up getting a Surly Long Haul Trucker. I've been out twice. Liking it so far.

Interesting choice. I looked at them. They have good reviews and lots of goodies about them. Gears, rack mounts, geometry, tire clearance, etc. good luck, man!

Thanks, the geometry and ability to carry load were the deal breaker for me. Didn't hurt that it's a brand new 2014 unsold. About 700 off the new 2017.
