Don't damage those potholes!

Cyclist in Russia who hit pothole gets fined for damaging it | road.cc
Apparently some unlucky cyclist who ran into a pothole was fined for "damaging it."

I guess he was probably trying to seek reimbursement for his losses associated with the accident.
The article doesn't specifically say that but he was taking a report of his accident into a council and I don't know why else you might do that.

You cannot damage a pothole. You can only enhance it.

Some of the potholes around here have been around long enough that they might qualify for National Historic status.

Here in Boston for the past few Springs, a radio commercial appears with a jingle to the tune Macho Man..."Pothole, Pothole Man...Call---Mr. Pothole Man."

I'm surprised he even MADE a report in the first place. Then again, the legal system in Russia is sketchy as cuss, so I shouldn't be too surprised that it played out as it did.
