Cheap source of Clif Bars
Hi everyone,
after moving to Montreal from Upstate NY I've pretty much depleted my Clif Bar supplies. They're basically my only fuel on most rides and therefore I consume a lot of them. Can anyone recommend a place to buy them for cheap, either at a store or online?
Thanks,
vgXhc

Costco is the cheapest source I have found, but they only sell them in packs of 15 with 3 flavors, only one of which I like.
(Yes, I know, I don't like the whole concept of Costco either, but signed up for it because it was the only place that sold the stove I liked at a price I liked. It's near the temporary home. I suspect visits will shrink drastically (and the membership may lapse) when the move to the permanent home takes place.)

I think I've seen them in some of the local Walmarts. I haven't compared pricing on them, though.

Thanks for all the suggestions. The Montreal Costco is pretty close to our apartment, so that might work. Do you remember how much the Clif Bars were there? I guess I was spoiled by the 12-packs for 10.99...

I think they were about $13 for a pack of 15. You have to be a member though -- $55 a year.

Friend just brought me a box of chocolate brownie Clif bars from the States.
Why can't we get chocolate brownie Clilf bars in Canada?

You ever seen them? Because if so, I want to know where. I have seen chocolate mint, chocolate almond and chocolate chip. I want chocolate brownie.

Some flavours are not available here due to the ingredients list and food agency approval....Got this direct from Cliff as to why we ca not get White Macadamia Nut in Canada...
I simply buy a ton of the flavours I like when I am in the US...
Also, MEC has them for $1.40 each...Or I wait for the $9.99 a box sale and stock up!

^^^ That is a good question. I've only done it in store (they have signs right in front of the bars) but you would think it should apply to online also. Call their 800 number and see what they say. Feel free to post back as I'm now curious.

Well, I actually called, and the answer is: the computer system is not smart enough to give the bulk discount, so you have to place your order with a real person in store or on the phone.
Also, the bulk discount only applies to Clif Bar and Clif Bar Builders. Gels and Shot Bloks do not get the discount. As far as the CSR knows, this is a permanent promotion.

If you have any way to persuade Trader Joes to open a store in Canada, preferably Toronto, please let us know.
