First Fixie Build
My son and I have watched "Premium Rush" about 3 times the past few months and each time he has become more sure of his choice to build a fixie. I'm a C&V roadie so there is a Raleigh frame on the wall of the shop wanting new life. I'll post pics as we get going.

Premium rush is your son's inspiration for riding a fixed gear bike? I'm not usually one to tell somebody how to raise their kids, but it's time you step up and perform your fatherly duties.

Okay, I watched Premium rush... twice, first when it was on Redbox and about two months ago. Yes, it has its flaws. Yes, the plot is a bit corny. But if it inspires people to get off their royal asses and ride, more power to them.
To that end, there was a youtube channel called Triple Rush that was going for a while but I haven't seen anything of it as of late. Maybe it fizzled away? It was more of a documentary, followed a few different messengers throughout their workweek, etc.

Never heard of Premium Rush before this thread*. Inspired me to go watch it.. looks like an entertaining movie. Thanks!
PS: Great looking build you've got!
* I'm not the usual FG rider, so that's maybe why

I rented it because it had Joseph Gorden Levit in it, plus it was the first bike-centered flick to come out in a while. There are other documentary type flicks out there, but they're all about the whole Lance scandal.

Nice build, fun movie.
I especially liked how he was in the ambulance in tons of pain barely able to move, and then a short time later was riding all kinds of cool stunts on top of cars.

Yeah, it is. But then I am no fixie rider. It's been fun to build one with my son even if I may never ride it. Thanx for the compliments.

Like I said, there were flaws. Funny thing is, only us "bike guys" catch stuff like that.
