But I don't suspect that recreational and amateurs are nearly as susceptible to this particular danger as pros, simply because pros put so many hours in the saddle - something like 800-1000 hours/year, I believe. For the pros, I wonder if different coaching (e.g., just as you say, more time out of the saddle) would make a difference
