No way, man. The only ones that have cracked are the local ones I've built up because I'm obviously a ****ty mechanic.

Sal said so himself right here.

You mustve worked on a lot of the bikes I saw on instagram with this crack too. Just saw one last week and of course a team rider was trying to justify it.

I just expect it to be replaced. I think it's beyond ridiculous that their policy is going to require me to pay shipping charges. So because of their poor design I'm probably out of well over 100 dollars by the time I have my parts pulled, ship it back, Then pay the local shop to press my headset.

I've spent the last year being a leader fanboy. I just hope they make this right

But what's the point of replacing it if the problem will no doubt repeat itself ? If it were me I'd just ask for a straight up refund, and offer to send them a video of you destroying the frame.

I'm asking but I don't see it happening. If it were newer I'd contact paypal but I've had it for 5 months so I'd say my time is long gone.

I'd like to put it towards a 722 or something without the design flaw. I love my other leader, this was just an awful idea.

. Their policy does say they'll give you store credit but I'd be afraid of just ending up out of even more money.

I'm going to be nice and civil until I actually hear back from them and I'll go from there.

When they sent my replacement ( 721 for the cracked 725), they sent me a return label and I paid no shipping charges.

Here's my Cretin: 2015 Leader Cretin - Pedal Room

I tried uploading images right here, but the upload kept failing. Ergo, the pedal room link.

Email didn't really work for me ( I tried the sales rep I was talking to when I initially bought the bike, and their warranty email). So, I called. It was largely smooth after that.

Thanks! I'm enjoying it. I think my next upgrade will be a nice set of wheels and a quality freewheel. I can't decide if I want a black chain or not.

I think a gold chain would look great on that bike.

+1 on gold chain. Always nice to have that hint of contrast on a bike.

It took a few emails but I got in touch with leader and am happy with the customer service I've received.

Hopefully all will be resolved shortly.

I've got a cracked 725 too. Im going to try to get store credit and get a kagero because I don't want to get a cure or cretin and it's the only other bike they still have in my size. Plus I think the kagero is sexy.

Another fine example of the lies. Thanks for sharing.

According to their Instagram post, they are going to be restocking the 721. May be a good alternative to spending double what you've already given them on a Kagero. Either way, perhaps its a sign that they're going to quit doubling down on the 725/735, as that hasn't been a good look.

This.
I considered upgrading to a kagero but didn't want to spend another 400 on a leader frame.
if you're willing to try another 725 they're supposed to have a polished aluminum out this month.
I'd go with a 721 if the wait isn't long.

I've got a new 725 on the way that I may sell. Haven't decided yet.

I've really got my mind set on getting a kagero. I don't want to get a 721 because I feel like it is a down grade, I read what scrod said about it actually being a better bike. Still warrantying a frame and getting something of lesser value just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I wonder if they do have the 725 fixed even if it is with a small washer.

I would personally feel more ripped off in the scenario in which a cracked frame leads me towards something more expensive. But, the Kagero does look fun!
