Balaclava for warm air breathing

folks - new to winter cycling. I tried the cold avenger today and it's a typical balaclava with holes in front of the nose but this let cold air through. I used to have upper respiratory issues in the past so need warmed up air to bike. Is there a balaclava that does this and allows you breathe room temperature air? Anything with simply holes in front of the nose won't cut it for me

Thanks guys

Is this the model you tried?

It doesn't look like it just has plain holes in front of the nose.

I've used balaclavas where you breathe through the fabric. But the incoming air is still at just about ambient outside temperature - especially when cycling and therefore breathing at a faster rate.

PS This was before moving to California.

In the short term, until you find a solution, you could wear an inexpensive, disposable disposable dust or face mask under your belaclava. You know like surgeons wear (or wore). In the winter I see people wear them to keep from breathing cold air (and to avoid air-born illnesses).

Years ago, I saw (in photos) a "balaclava" that had a sort-of-a snorkel where the breathe-in opening was inside your jacket and the breathe-out exit was in front of the mouth, controlled by a valve. I looked for this a short while ago but wasn't able to find it (if it still exists).
