Yeah, summer would be much preferred to this ****. Oh, that reminds me that the wife booked hotels for the Spring trip to VA (yeah, already). For whatever reason, the boy's Spring break is really early, in about 4 weeks or so. Not totally decided on toting the bike again, but leaning towards it.

That sucks man. I went through that a couple years ago when my (now departed) dog was getting old - I think it was the combination of super ****ty weather and deteriorating bladder control. Diapers are no fun on a toddler, but they're even more no fun on a dog.

Team kit for $265? That's absurd. The kit discount is half the reason for hooking up with a team/group, isn't it?

In other news, wifey is pregnant with baby #1 , so as of late August I'll be a dad first, husband 2nd, diligent employee 3rd, cyclist 4th, and active BF poster maybe 30th.
In honor of never having time to ride ever again, I'm gonna do back to back centuries on June 1/2 since my company is sponsoring a team participating in the BikeMS here in VA. Since I've only ever done one about 6 years ago, that may be a bad idea to do them back to back. Definitely worthy of starting a thread with a poll seeking training advice, right?

It is, if your team is actually sponsored by a kit manufacturer. We are just a bunch of 3/4 riders who like hanging out, so it's essentially just a group order at full price with a custom design from Vie13. It's good quality stuff, but not cheap.

I wanted to ask about that, too, but refrained. Congrats!

Twin Six seems to give us a decent discount and we're just a bunch of CAT 6ers. Then again, having CAT 6 Race Squad emblazoned on us kinda fits within their marketing, so maybe that's part of it.

Huh. He looked pretty rough the last time I saw a pic of him, but didn't expect that.

The new saddle hath arrived. TPC says it's used, but I don't see any signs that it's ever been clamped to seat post. Saddle shape looks like it might work out. Will find out on Wed, I guess.

If that's the article in the NYT or WaPo about how the FDA is going to "handle" poop and the economic and policy arguments on both sides, I read it and found it fascinating. Not disgusting, however. I guess that's a professional thing.

Yep. Front page of today's NYT. I found it interesting as well, but the part that got to me was the description of the person who made a "home remedy" in their blender. Happy it helped though. That donors get $40 a pop (or should I say poop?) made me chuckle. I couldn't help thinking it would be an efficient way to make supplemental retirement income. Unlike giving blood, you can do it every day with no repercussions.

And also that very few people would want to run the chance of being in the placebo arm of a trial of poop for C. diff, when they can just get it from an open source. Major policy dilemma.
