28c tire on Panasonic DX-3300?

28c tire on Panasonic DX-3300?
I have a Panasonic DX-3300 I bought off Craigslist a few years back. I have no idea what year it is. It currently has 25C tires, but I'd like to put some wider ones on there. Is there an easy way to tell if a 28C or wider tire would fit my frame/fork?

Measure?
The 28mm tire will in theory be approximately 3mm wider, and perhaps a touch taller.
I say approximately because nominal sizes of tires are not always accurate, and the shape of the tire has an effect.
Thus one 25mm tire may be close to as wide as a different 28mm, or conversely there may be more than 3mm difference.
So measure the clearence through the forks, and stays. If you've got more than a mm or two, then give it a try.
My bet is that it will take 28mm tires, given that bikes often had more tire clearance back in the day.

Assuming the bike is actually a Panasonic DX 3000, (and the 3300 is a typo) it looks like it will easily take 28mm tires.
