I bought two of the short sleeve ones like 2 years ago and I'm pretty sure I paid about twice that.

This is pretty rad too, but I don't think I can do enough night rides to justify all these long sleeves.

Bought a Brooks C15, currently rock a b17 on a diff bike. The c15 is really nicely built, but not anywhere as comfortable as I thought it would be. Really tempted to return it looks and is built like it cost $200, but not $200 comfortable over my old plastic saddle.

Some guy on readit spams BLS products and I figured what the hell. I was always interested in getting straps for my pedals but no one makes them for Looks. These attach through the spindle, we'll see how it works out.

Too hard or too narrow?
Just not as soft as I was led to believe it would be.

Every review I read about it people were saying how good it was out of the box. And on my social rides and commutes I ride without padded shorts, and the feel of the saddle didn't feel noticeably different than anything I've used before.

I'm going to put about 100 miles on it this weekend in a race, so that will be the decider for me if I return it or not. ( and I may return it anyway b/c I have a friend who bought one, used it a few times then went back to their old saddle and may sell me the one they bought )

I'd feel much better about it if I paid $100-150, but with LBS mark up and taxes, it nearly came out to $200 for me. ( Try to be the nice guy and help out LBS, but when I can save $50 by getting it on amazon, thats hard to pass up ) Its not bad, and I dont hate it, I'm just not sure its worth its asking price.

I think on most accounts the C17 is a much better ride than the C15. I liked my C17 for a bike without tons of saddle-bar drop. Might get another one in the future.

I like my C13, too.

Got a new bag

Moved up from a cardboard box to this:

5.11 Tactical Patrol Ready Bag

Holds/organizes all my stuff: water bottles, arm/leg warmers, first aid, food/snacks, jersey, bibs, shoes, sunglasses, etc. The loops on top even hold a full size tire pump!

How far apart are those two top loops, and would they be strong enough to support the fully loaded bag? I checked their site but they don't provide that info. I'm thinking of using it as a handlebar bag. Thanks.

The loops are 11" apart. The bag, when loaded, is about 23" wide and 11" deep (front to back) which I think would make it too large to use as a handle bar bag. If it did work as a handlebar bag then I think it would need some type of bag support in addition to the velcro loops.

Morvelo Hemisphere Gilet and Thermoactive Jersey.

I own one of each already and they are amazing garments. Login with an account at the Morvelo website drops the price about 15% when you go to checkout.

Wiggle carries some of their stuff, often at very good prices.

I don't have the new Cannondale yet, the frame doesn't ship until November, so I haven't ridden the eTap other than the test bike at the shop.

I really liked it. Everyone complains about the front shifting, but I really only change my front when I'm climbing, so I'm not that worried.

That said, the Mr. Pink came with SRAM Rival, and I give it a "meh" review. I don't mind it at all, but if I shift up the cassette in the back and then decide to shift back down right away, the front drops to the small ring. I'm not sure if it's not setup correctly, or if this is just a SRAM thing, but it's super annoying. I usually always shift to an easier gear at red lights, but then if the light turns green, I'll shift back and go to hammer, but my chain drops and all I do is spin. At first I thought it was just a misshift but now, I can replicate it every time. I need to do some googling and see if there's a fix.

I may have gone just a touch crazy...local bike shop was having a clearing out space special so I just started grabbing things. I got:

about a dozen metric wrenches
spoke tensionometer
dishing tool
a few 'Y' hex tools
cable puller
set of Panaracer Ribmo tires
1 tube (that was free)
2 saddles, front LED light
rear LED light
cycling gloves
set of rat cage pedals
toe clips w/ leather straps
set of mountain bike brake levers with cables (I don't have a mountain bike)

I'm probably forgetting some stuff. I'm sort of kicking myself for not nabbing a pro bike stand for $40. Didn't feel like trying to ride home with that and the tires over my shoulder though...
