Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Addiction delivers. I used to avoid those ones.

My wife has been making pizza with the pizza box thing I got the family for Christmas a few years ago. My half is cheese and serrano peppers and it's delicious.

We're about to take the pup on a hike for the first time because her usual romping grounds are occupied lately by WFH people visiting the park. Hopefully the hiking path won't be filled with these undesirables nice folks either.

A week or so ago I notice water on the floor. Trace it back to one of the two filters that was so clugged with slime that it was dripping behind the tank. I took the lid off, so at least it wasn't dripping, and told him.

At the end of last week I smelled a funny smell. Went in there yesterday and it smelled strongly of smoke. Looked behind the tank and saw the other filter dripping. Stared below for a bit and saw that the power strip was literally sparking.

He unplugged everything, I took the filters outside and flushed them clean with water. But man, why don't you clean the tank?!? I know he gets busy at time, but he's not that busy. It could have burned the building down.
As someone who's owned a number of fish tanks, including several years with piranhas, the fish tank is not the answer to whatever question you're asking.

In Addiction historical news, remember LC and his fish tanks?

Add cheesecake to offset the undesirable calories from the pizza and ice cream.

I felt free on my ride to work today. It was quiet. I whistled, smiled at people, looked around. It was nice. All within six feet or so.

In other, somewhat related news, the DT350s with the ratchet upgrade are great to provide notice. A gentle reverse spin is generally all it takes, but you can unleash the bees if you have to.

I'm not getting fat during the zombie apocalypse. My kid has found a love for KFC popcorn chicken, obtained through the drive thru. He says he finds the crunch satisfying. He also loves popcorn. I don't eat his popcorn chicken. You pay for the crunch.

Yup. I prolly exercise for mental health as much as I do for it for physical health; the benefits are so immediate and less abstract. I'm convinced that half of the world is in a ****ty funk because they sit on their asses too much and don't realize that it's not their natural state.

Same. Once we clean up the loose ends here, I'm home-bound for the duration. Since they shut down testing, I'm non-essential, which is good. The phone calls, and the strange people at the other end, are something I can live without. Even stranger than normal. I can find a lot to keep myself busy at home.

Very likely that an employee here has COVID-19. They were actually tested here where we have only a handful of confirmed cases, so that alone basically confirms it.

Lovely.

Nice! Governor's order excluded legal as critical and then the updated morning order included legal.

Right. Things keep changing. I just need my CDPHE I.D. to be excused, if need be. They don't need to know which part of it I am.

The 41 might soon need to be renamed cerveloforums.net

I never cared much for Cervelos, but I've got to say I'm pretty smitten with all of the R series getting posted around here lately.

I crashed my R3SL and was dead set on crash replacing it for the new (at the time) black and white S5. Cav's bike, I think. The release date got pushed back and I started to get on shaky ground with my wife because of the delay. She was beginning to lose interest in my new bike purchase.

Lifetime warranty for the original owner is nice. After speaking with Cervelo customer service and feeling encouraged by LAJ's carbon repair, I got it fixed for $500 and went a different direction. Best idea ever. The grass isn't always greener.

Now that the geometry seems to be returning to normal, the Rs continue to kick ass. They excel at everything. As WhyFi pointed out, a bit twitchy/responsive at first, but then it's all good. They're more bike than any of us would ever need. We're holding the bike back.
