there went the overtime for that Saturday.

life lesson learned.
Ran one today (slowly, looking both ways). After crossing the intersection, I noticed a sheriff SUV in the on-coming lane. He had seen the entire thing. I was so exhausted I couldn’t have cared less and continued pedaling. Luckily for me, he was of the same mindset.

Riding downhill about 1 1/2 feet from the curb. A lady driver rolls down the passenger side window, leans over to the right and yells at me. Get on the sidewalk, the sidewalk was about 50 foot long and ended, in that area it's illegal to ride on the sidewalk. Not only was she wrong, she put my life in danger by leaning to the right with the left hand on the steering wheel. She could have very easily cut to the right hitting me. I have witnessed many cyclist doing things that I considered questionable and automobiles taking actions that were also dangerous. Wether I stop at a stop sign or not is my business, as long as I believe my actions are safe. Safe cycling.....

What's more annoying is these idiots who don't have any clue what the rules are who try to talk smack. In the stupid roads here the bike lanes constantly disappear and reappear so I go on the sidewalk a lot when I am not on the bike trail, I stop and get out of the bike lane and round the corner slightly to the crosswalk and stand there next to my bike. At this intersection there are always a few morons who are waiting to turn right as soon as the light goes and then gun it so I don't go up on the sidewalk here I just stay basically in the intersection of the bike lane and crosswalk. They can turn right on red around me and I can care less if they do and there is PLENTY of room beside I am flush to the sidewalk, but this moron of course has to wait 5 minutes until the light and crosswalk turn green, pull in front of me then when he has absolutely no right of way, and start gibbering nonsense. I told him to F off and picked up my very hefty bike lock and he got the message, but it's hard to believe how stupid some people are. I've also had people try to knock me off the road and if I ever caught up to one of them they would very seriously regret it.
