Raleigh Mixte (Blue Grand Prix) part out?
I was at the flea market once again, and there wasn't anything good, but on the way out I spotted a blue mixte frame that caught my eye. It was kinda an impulse buy, as I wanted a new project after selling a bike earlier that week. Turns out the Raleigh has some pretty big issues that I didn't caught (embarrassingly). Front fork has a dent, very slight curve from straight like the other side, and the right "top tube" has a little tweak as well. It was a project with no wheel set, but I have some laying around that will work. I can't imagine the it rides super straight, but haven't tried it yet. I stripped it for cleaning, and am debating putting it back together. The components are pretty clean with very little or no signs of wear, especially the cranks. My question is, should I try to part these out? I don't have the rear derailleur, so it's not complete, but pretty dang close. I only paid $40 bucks, and was considering trying to contact another member of the forums who helped me out with another project to literally take a whack at it. Maybe clamp it, use some boards, towels, rubber mallet or something? Since I didn't pay very much, could be kind of fun, just to keep. Any thoughts?

incazzare.
I don't think it's worth parting out, I'd save all the parts for a future cheapie build or something.

last spring I sold pretty much the same parts you have shown there on ebay, I wrote good ads with good pictures and think I got around $150 but I did have the rear raleigh branded derialleur which if I remember correctly was a VGT. The crank and rear derailleur brought close to $100 and the rest was 10 bucks here 20 bucks there. Just thought I would chime in incase you want to get a few dollars.
