I was riding those types of conditions this afternoon. Quite tenuous, and quite slick on the slop.
Unsolicited Advice to OP and others: RIDE IN THE TIRE TRACKS IF THE SLUSH AND SNOW FURTHER RIGHT ON THE ROAD IS CAUSING YOUR BIKE TO SLIP.
Take the lane if further right is unsafe. a bike will generally track better right where the cars have been driving.

Thanks for the good advice and under most circumstances I would be riding in that tire track.
On this day, that happened to be the worst possible option. The tire track was solid sheet of ice approx. 1/4" thick. If you notice in the video the reflections of the lights at the 2nd intersection shine off that tire track as if it is wet. it was wet only in the middle of the intersection but frozen ice everywhere else. You will also notice that there is no wet spray coming from these cars. It's pure ice over there. There was no salt on the road and nothing was melting yet, if anything, more things were freezing.
The nice fresh white snow at the start is where I had the most traction.When I ran out of fresh snow to ride on I had to move off the ice rink and onto the sidewalk. My tire (NOT Studded) only slips when I go on the tire tracks (ice)

I ride in worse than that regularly but always have studs or I use a fat tire bike
