Bianchi reparto corse 1999 in celeste. Love this bike; recently found her in France. After thoroughly cleaning it, changed the tires to Vittoria rubino yellow (old ones were toast). Groupset is Veloce. It's such a lovely bike to ride, with her triple and carbon fork.

Great looking Bianchi. Which frame is it?

Thank you, Bianchigirll. The frame number is MG6402825 and I found her in a barn in France. It's an 'exclusive set double butted L alloy 7005' with carbon fork (as far as I know introduced in 2000?), Selcof needle bearing series, ITM racing super 330 anatomica 42, veloce triple blade front (52/42, 42/30, 30-C9), veloce 9 speed at the back, NTH420/520 rims, pedals were Look Keo in celeste but I replaced them with Shimano SPD, Vittoria rubino tires, light alloy sadle pen, Bianchi Hi-Tech cables. I have the original Flite sadle (black), but I liked this celeste San Marco just a bit more I'm deeply in love with the ride, quality and sheer beauty of this Bianchi. Getting emotional. Sorry. It might not be Pantani's own bike, but I'll keep her for a long time.

I picked up this "lower end" gem just today. A 1999 Campione. Appears to be stock except for the saddle, including the tires. It's dirty from storage and the grease has hardened but there's hardly a mark on it. So far I've noticed just on chip about 1/2 the size of a BB on the non-drive side chain stay. Was gonna take it out for a gentle 5 mile test but the front tube gave up the ghost when I pumped it up.

They always come back...got a Trofeo in my life again.
Had to get the rear derailleur aligned
..it was slightly bent inward.
Fixed, cleaned and ready for build.
Would it be a crime to install this frame with Shimano since it has the Campagnolo decal on there?

@thenomad I've never seen that colorblock on a Bianchi before but it's a gorgeous one.

I had great luck last year when this bike surfaced, dirt cheap, on a local selling site here in Sweden. I came home late from work and just browsed the net a little to wind down. The ad was just posted and I responded immediately by mail. Long story a little shorter – he phoned me, I told him he had a too low price, he thought I was the right buyer - and I bought it. I got the bike for the asked price but we added some for the tools and accessories that he told me he had.
The seller had owned it since 1978 and won a regional championship on it. He had bought it from a guy that was a Swedish national champion. When looking into this it actually was true as the first owner (I got hold of him) won the road time trial in 1975 – in the “old boys” class. He could however not say if it was on this bike as too much time had passed.
To find a "174" Bianchi Specialissima Professionale in Sweden is no easy task, to find one in my size does not make it easier and last – to find it in this condition…
It has a low serial (which eludes me right now). The frame is in almost perfect shape, some small paint chips that is all. There is tape under the pump peg so it will clean up nicely – and the peg is not going back on. A good rubbing and waxing is all that is needed for the frame. Rear derailleur and hubs are -73. It has an early SR seatpost with some extra milling or a NR with “extra, extra” milling – cannot say if it is custom made by someone afterwards or custom made by Campagnolo. Cinelli old logo bar and stem. Unicanitor saddle, long reach brake handles and Fiamme Ergal rims. I would say this has to be a1974 bike.
As this was not enough, the extra parts were more than he had told me on the phone about. There were a celeste pump and bottle, Campagnolo tools, crank extractors, etc, an original paintbottle, an old Campagolo grease jar, new drilled and undrilled chainwheels, a new 3ttt stem, a new Cinelli Criterium old logo handlebar, new Camapgnolo brake blocks, the original TA bottle holder. And some old spares of this and that…have a look at the pictures.
I started with “I had great luck”, apart from my ex Pettersson Masi/Monark/Ferretti team bike this is my overall nicest find yet.
