help me spend my bonus!

So I will be getting my bonus within the next 60 days and have been given permission by the misses to spoil myself with it. It will be about $1500 after taxes. I need some help on how to irresponsibly spend it. I currently have a decent full squish 2008 mongoose teocali comp with upgraded SLX components and Rockshocks Sektors. I also have an On-one 456 with xt components and also Rockshocks Sektors. Things I am considering is a rigid 29er for commuting purposes/loaner bike/or the need to test my skills on the single track with the rigid. I was also considering a cross bike, such as the super versatile Surly Crosscheck, or something similar. So help me out BF.net peeps!!

C Law. I am not 13. I receive a quarterly bonus for my career, I work as a trader in the energy supply division but I will avoid boring you with any details. Normally I dump my quarterly bonus in a high yield savings for an additional retirement...oops, I said I wasn't going to bore you...my appologies. Now, if you would have some constructive criticism or even better, a reply that is helpful with my thread please do so. Otherwise, have a nice life.

mrgrunt99, look at C Law's location-NY! They need $1,500 per month for property taxes, he is just grumpy.

Congrats on the bonus. Usually a Surly is a good purchase. You can also get a decent 29er front fork. I like Scott so I am attaching my preference.

Money left over for gloves, camelback and new shorts!

A karate monkey is a GREAT commuter, and you can put a fork on it, and you can put gears on it if you want.

Dang! I'm in the "saving lives" business and all I get is a $25 gift card to wally world. If I got 6k/yr bonuses...i wouldn't have to drive a 15y.o. car.

Good job, sir.

ed, I was in the business of defending lives for 10 years. And after 3 deployments and more time away from my children than time spent with them, it is a great feeling to be around my family day and night. I drive a 12 year old beater with a heater...I just put more value in things that I have a passion for, such as bicycles!

electrik, I consider myself a generous person.....but not that generous. Kudos for trying though hahaha.

Keep the help coming peeps!
