Ergo grips on my flat bar road bike - what a difference!!!!
I just put some ergo grips on my flat bar road bike and boy what a difference! Its like I'm riding a new bike. Its hard to explain, but it makes the ride very plush and comfortable. I should have changed those grips from day 1. There was always something wrong with the feel of my bike "Giant rapid 1" when I went for a ride. I couldn't put my finger on it, but clearly it was the grips. I picked up some BBB ergo grips and BBB bar ends from my local bike shop and bang what a difference. If you have a flat bar road bike, hybrid or whatever do yourself a favor and pick up some ergo grips right now!! Thanks.

Yeah, love my combo Ergon grips/bar ends. Allows me to change my hand positions frequently so no numb hands anymore. Grip also does not rotate like the stock grips that came on my bike.

I love ergo grips, but not the Ergon brand grips I have on my flat bar right now. I honestly preferred the off-brand eleven81 grips that I had on the MTB I sold. Might go back to them. I find the shape of the Ergons to be a bit overdesigned. They actually force my hand into one position - a demand rather than a suggestion. I will say, they're great for keeping a solid hold of the bar in the rain.
I rotated my (separate) bar end grips so that they're parallel with ground, maybe even tilted forwards/down slightly, and since I got the position right I find myself out on the bar ends for 80% of my ride. I'm considering bullhorns or even <shudder> drop bars, once I can scrape some money together, so I'll have my controls out where I want.

I agree. I got the Ergon GP5's - the ones with the bullhorns- which give me at least 6 different hand positions. So much better than the stock grips that came with my Sirrus. The Ergons and my Brooks B17 make my bike so much more comfy.

Just like Korax, I set up my Kona Phd with Ergons (GR2 BioKork) and a B17. Night and day!
