Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Probably just standard procedure. It’s that Dr. Sizemore I’d be concerned about.

Getting late in the season, I've got to step it up if I want to get any nice bird shots.

Winter is prime birding season. Several northern species migrate to congregate in the northeast.

I'm pretty sure she's married. A shame as she's moderately attractive. So it goes.

If you could migrate, why would you migrate there?

Standard, but inappropriate, language for a medical record. You should see the patronizing, sexist, racist, and just plain weird stuff people still write in charts. Used to be 100x worse.

On today's episode of 50-year-old man on a 30-year-old bike:

If she had commented on my muscular guads, would that be appropriate, given the proximity to my knees?

My poor brother in Seattle just went on meds for depression and anxiety and is about to sign papers for a job which fills him with dread. Wish there were more I could do beside talk on the phone and point out thoughts he needs to not have.
