Who the heck made these lugs?!

I don't know how I've managed to miss seeing them before, but the lugs on the newest bike in the stable are unlike any I've seen before! On many of the lugs there is a little gusset that connects two of the branches of the lug -- almost like webbing between toes. Has anyone seen ones like this? -or know who made them?

Thanks, DD. I'm unfamiliar with Long Shen's lugs. From a few minutes' Googling, it looks like they began producing lugs in 1986, which may not be compatible with the age of the bike, but I'm awaiting the framebuilder's archivist getting back to me with the date of build of my frame.

Long Shen Arrowhead lugs. Still available today, from Ceeway:

Yeah, Bob Jackson had them as an option right until the (recent) end, with "arrowhead" lugs available on most frames. They were featured in BJ catalogues as far back as the late-80s at least.

It's always possible that Long Shen copied existing lugs. However, like Drillium Dude and cudak888 , Long Shen would be my leading candidate. The Reynolds logo style used on the subject frame wasn't introduced until late 1988, for the 1989 model year, so the age is appropriate for Long Shen lugs.

Yes -- I was scrutinizing the bottom bracket shell and found "LS" cast in tiny letters there, so you're right: Long Shen.
