Six arm crankset options?
I just went to a mini bike swap here in philly and bought a nice old high flange campagnolo track hub with a inch pitch cog on it... also got the matching front TA chainring for maybe five bucks. Its the inch pitch that caught my eye, and at that price it didnt matter that i had no use for it.
A bit later I noticed that the chainring was made for six bolts... and i realized I couldnt think of any cranks with six arms. All I can think of is the TA chainring adapter... is that my only option or are there other cranksets I could use? (maybe anyone have a spare TA 'adaptateur' laying about?)

Sounds interesting, but I'm afraid I can't help.
However, I hope you'll show off the hub to which you refer. Sounds interesting.

I think the TA adapteur is your only choice...they're out there and show up for auction every now and then.

You need one of these guys:
I don't think they've been made for many years, but they do turn up on eBay every now and then.

So I am curious, that chainring I have was purpose made for the adapter? there must have been other cranksets that it was compatible with or they would have made it a full sized chainring that would not need the extra adapter... right?
(i am sorry about the lacking in pictures, i really need to get a basic digital camera soon)

With a BCD inexplicably incompatible (152 vs 157mm) with TA.
