Show Us your Classic/Vintage Ti Bikes...
im not sure that Titanium bikes reach the Vintage age yet... and im not sure what Classic entails. Perhaps the Old Lyn Litespeeds and the Pre ABG Merlin bikes are Classic enough... or the Eddie AX and the Lemond qualify.. there are a few others.. im pretty sure the Teldyne brown bike was 80s and... but I would like to see how these old Ti bikes are holding up.. heck I just would like to see some rare old school Titanium Road bikes posted up...

1977 Speedwell. Ocaña rode one in some stages of the 1973 TdF, the one he won when riding for Motobecane.

polished Ti.. built in 70s looks like it was purchased out of the shop window yesterday.. nice work! I cant tell by the photo but is there any drilling done on the levers or any thing to save weight... I always liked the look of that technique.. such a timeless bike...

Colnago BiTi and Merckx AX
I left the BiTi slip away about 10 years back . The current AX isn't a bad replacement however .

well this thread is getting pretty cool. just what i was hoping to see.. lots of nice submarine bikes.. i think that is what subs were made of... once.. perhaps still are... but those Eddies posted up really bring back some cool memories of bike lust... some of my friends got those back in the day... not sure what it was about them but... I WANTED ONE!!!!! that or one of the old school Litespeed Classics.. the ones with the knight on the head badge.. just was not in the cards.... but i did finally get my dream bike... and i will post a photo of it... and it prob will not be the last time you will see this bike, fair warning... and no its not Vintage by any stretch,, only 10 years old or at most 11... but its pretty special to me... so...
its vintage in that It will be the last bike i will ever own... so its just a matter of time... well please continue folks really digging the submarine bikes.. dig the old school Merlin and Moots too..... Great bikes all!!

Purchased the frame in 1999 and replaced some components in 2006

cool, dig the Teledyne.. i guess that is one of the oldest Titanium bikes out.. and always like a nice litespeed classic.. one of my riding buddies had one i never saw it much because he was always dusting me off his wheel... that cat was fast.. went for a nice ride yesterday after sup... dang sure am digging my new? bike.. now a year old and the only blem on it is a small pea size hole in the frame graphics.. hope i get to see some more old school lite speeds, or DEANS, or Serottas sp.. or one of those De Rosas...

Hoping someone will post a Dean.
Really wanted to buy one back in the day, but couldn't find a dealer.

cool, some new additions, really dig the merlin and LiteHuffyspeed, and the De Rosa.. and the Spectrum, and the saber, heck they are as cool as tom jones.. i was trying to remember what happened to Merlin Ti bikes.. i think they were just absorbed by ABG.. or something.. i dont think they were ever as sexy or classy as those years in the late 80 and 90s when they still used the simple script on the toptube and that was it.. i really like my LS but i know as much as i like the ascetics of it its just dose not hit me like the old school script in yellow and the knight headbadge.. but it really seems as Ti is going the way of the dinosaurs.. being replaced by those amorphous black carbon bikes with weak chins tangent..... a bike should be made in fire!! damb me to hell for saying it... well hope more additions to this little photo thread pop up... nah... carbon bikes are cool and some are quite pretty.. but non of the new ones speak to me... not like a Ti or steel bike.

@Steve Bauserman, for some reason the pics above aren't showing on my computer, but I was able to dig up this thread with pics of your bike HERE. Really pretty Speedwell you have there. I occasionally let mine out of the garage but it doesn't see too many miles. Out of curiosity, since you mention yours is the 7th one made, what is your serial? My serial number is PR 1273007, which I understand means the 7th frame built in the 12th month of '73.
I've already posted photos of this bike many times (including the recently "Blingiest" bike thread) but here it is again for reference:

Sold the Teledyne Titan last year - just too big.
was given this Spectrum Ti that my dad ordered new in 1989 after he broke his pelvis 4-5 years ago. It's slightly big for me but I still ride it in honor of my dad.
