Wow, how random. A cryptic shout-out, almost spy-like in its terseness, and I realize the referent and I actually follow each other on Strava, and he rode one of my semi-private long Strava segments with me once while he was out here on a trip. It's a small world.

So "excited" you guys get to join in on the fun. Here's the view from my office on Tuesday (I opted to work at home, thanks!)... stupid photo won't post, just look at PhotoJoe's below to get the feel for it - magic mountain and my office are at the same exit off I-5
I hope the Hultins are doing great!

Thank you for the thoughts, Family and i are evacuated and ok. Fire got within 50ft of the house at about 2am but we had @30 firefighters fending it off. Last updated I got at about 7am from a neighbor who stayed was that the house was still standing.

Glad to hear. I've seen your place and knew the real danger. We are not close, but wife's sister is near Melrose/Mesa and was in the Voluntary Zone. Was over there yesterday helping get his camper on the truck in case they needed to bug out. Sorry for any of your neighbors who got hit.

We should go out riding one of these days. It's taking me time to get back on the horse. Gained a bit of weight and had a health issue that put me off the bike for August -November. If we do get together I'll let you drop me since I am only up to 15-20 right now, with easy hills.

Soon as I recover. I pulled my hamstring doing the damn Turkey Trot. (no more running for me). Thought it was on the mend, but totally gave out yesterday. Doc's tell me to stay off of it for a while. No biking either. Told getting on t he bike with a hammy pull like I did was probably not a good. I probably have your number, but it will be weeks.
