I'd think black, red and white from EVERY manufacturer.

It probably is Bianchi's 'celeste'. The only other one that comes to mind is Cannondale's bright green color for their sponored race teams , but that's fairly recent.

The thick black rubber-based paint that Raleigh used on the bazillions of roadsters and Sports models that they made forever and sold all over the world.

In my fleet there are two reds, an orange, a yellow and a black. No celeste. I can't even imagine what a color named celeste looks like.

My house was built in 1954. It's about the same aqua green color as my bathroom...
I liked some of the later Bianchis that had some pearl in the color. Looked stunning in the sunlight!

Whatever they call the shade of black that Chinese Flying Pigeon bicycles come in, that gets my vote. Celeste doesn't even come close.

By sight - in the USA - it's probably Schwinn Kool Lemon. See the color and you know immediately it's a Schwinn

To confuzzle things, I've seen Bianchis which were different celestes. That is, even Bianchi doesn't seem to know what color "celeste" is.

I was thinking when it comes to Schwinns, Campus Green was a popular choice. While it was a fairly short run, (1967 to about 1973 or so) they used it on almost everything.

Peugeot racing bikes in white were fairly iconic in the day. I'd still like to own one.

I agree with "celeste" as being an instantly recognizable bike color. When I bought my Fiat, I saw that they have even stolen the color.
