Both were TdF, mid-70s vintage, full 531db and Simplex dropouts. I could be mis-remembering the lugs, as this was almost 50 years ago and I have trouble remembering what I had for breakfast yesterday.
The other feature on the "Cuevas" that looks Gitane to me is the "cut and squash" seatstay treatment that was common on boom-era Gitanes.

I would have to want that one pretty bad to get to $499, would really need to be a Pro for me in that condition.
IF I was confident it would clean up very well, all chrome still good including that wb cage that can be stupid $$$$, very minimal damage from the rack mounting and all else good and usable.
