Digital color fidelity is not very accurate. In any case, while refinished to a decent standard, the graphics are a number of years later, the metalwork does appear 1968.
too glossy in my experience, my bike has all black typography graphics. Lack of chrome is a demerit, but rechrome brings in other gremlins, I do not snarl about it.
I have had bikes resprayed, sometimes at purchase the original finish is long gone. Obtaining reasonable fidelity is a challenge, too bad on this example that the original style graphics were not sourced.

you have what definitely appears original. Fortunate.

for whatever reason, French fixed cups at 35 x 1 have the biggest rep for procession out, the Italians at 36 x 24 also do this on occasion.

wildOG mine does have the braze on front. Fascinating minutae on these bikes, thanks for the updates, some things you mentioned I had not heard before!

True, ClassicSteelBikes, I think paints all their bikes and puts the same late decals on them, which is kind of a shame. They're pretty though.

About color, the best info I've been able to find are the old Bikecology catalogs.

That link is one from 1980, they call the non metallic blue "Nuovo Blue Flambouyant". Their '81 catalog calls it just "Nuovo Blue". The metallic blue they call SCIC Blue Scuro Metallic, named after the racing team I think. They list a Pearl Yellow Metallic there. —Might be different than yours as it's later.
