How's your facial hair?
I've noticed what seems to be a disproportionately large number of us old farts on bikes who have facial hair.
Me; Goatee and 'Stache 90% of the time Clark gable the rest of the time. In my youth it was often the Zappa Patch.

Full beard trimmed short since 1981 (OK, I shaved once in the early '90s but started growing it back the next day).

Wait a minute ... I mis-voted. I do have a mustache, such as it is.
But other than that, you're talkin to a guy with no head hair, save for what emerges from his ears.
Thinking of doing a soul patch, though. Just to piss the wife and kids off.

I have a full beard and long hair to the middle of my back. It is still mostly blond and I color my beard because I can and it simply looks neater all 1 color
Terminal length was left out of the poll even though I keep it trimmed and neat

I voted full, trimmed though I really need a trim badly, as some co-workers have noted as well. I've been so busy though, that I haven't even been able to train for the upcoming Fifty-Plus Annual Ride here in Boston in two weeks.

Full beard but trimmed very short 1/4" or so, since stent and platelet inhibitors last May - slightest nick & bleeding for half an hour.
Prior to that, goatee & stache for many years. Even though I'm off the platelet inhibitors now I've kept the beard

Since HS days with wickedly bad acne, twice a day shave with electric razor. Since broken neck from bike crash 3 years ago, head buzzed with a #2 cut guard.

I had a full beard, but went to a goatee because I missed the luxury of a good wet shave with a DE razor. So, now every morning, I've got 15 minutes of pampering myself with a great smelling, warm, relaxing wet shave, and still have facial hair to play with when I'm in the midst of serious contemplation. To me, this is the best of both worlds.

Ask again in six months. My 'stach is a seasonal thing for winter riding. I don't like the balaclava to cover my nose, so the 'stach keeps the lip warm.

So do women count?
As if its not hard enough to grow old, as the estrogen level fades away, the facial hair start to come out.
Funny - men will pay big money for a product that grows hair and women will pay big money for one that gets rid of hair...

None of the above.
I usually have a two or three day stubble. Because I HATE shaving. God cursed women with pain in childbirth and men with whiskers.

Three or four days growth between shaves. It doesn't do much as a sun block.

I've never had a great, manly, Grizzly Adams type beard and my cheeks to this day are fairly barren.
Still, I can -with patience and care- put together an acceptable beard. I've seen worse. Much worse.
Been married for nearly 35 years, my wife has never seen my upper lip. The soul patch came later, yo.
Then came the goat. Then left, the goat. Then came the goat, again.
Then came unemployment and my present day beard. Had that, now, for 9 years.
I keep it at Wahl setting 4

Out of the Marines in early 70's and whilst in the Marines I had to shave 3 times a day. Morning parade- Pm parade and going ashore at night. Came out and just let the beard grow. Used to trim it if it got in the way of eating but now keep it trimmed.

Well, I don't see the Tom Selleck/Magnum PI mustache listed. That's what I've had since '76. Never removed even once since then.
Beard was a seasonal thing until I was mistaken for a grandpartent because of the gray coming in to my red beard - and I was only 32 at the time!!!
And what is up with that anyway - why do blonde guys have red beards??? My Viking heritage???
I did grow a full beard a few years ago when I was asked to play 'Santa' for one of the housing developments on my mail route. I started it at Halloween and this was the result:
And no, that is not the 'real me' - I had a pillow stuffed into the costume!

Facial hair of any type usually makes one look older than they are. So none for me. I look old enough.

I hate to shave so I normally keep it stubbled. I figure if all the TV and movie stars can get away with it, so can I. My wife says it makes me look like a bum but it keeps the panhandlers away when I'm at the malls. I do have mustache that I've had for 40 years but it's all gray and barely visible unless you are up close.
