Ok..... What is this bike stand called?

I spent an hour looking on eBay for this bike stand. We used them at Europa Cycles for displaying our bikes on the sales floor. I want a few for my garage. Anybody know the name/manufacturer? Or if you come across one on eBay send me the link.
(I stole the pic from wrk101 )
Thanks,
Cory

Only $10.50 here. I think I might order a couple at that price, myself.

I had these since the 80's and they work pretty good with most bikes except the larger diameter tubed frames. Just make sure that the area where it contacts the bottom bracket is padded well (some come with rubber coating on that area, but if the one you get does not have it you can buy some vinyle hosing, split it and wrap it around the bare metal) as it tends to damage the paint under the BB shell after some time. Your LBS should be able to order you the stand if they don't stock it.

Picked up two from an LBS junk box for $1 each. Think iowegian got one in trade, and I have no clue where the other went.
I found them handy if you weren't moving around the bike, but they twisted fairly easily and fell over.

PBK sells a folding one, sort of like an A-frame, that goes on the rear skewer, for $10-$12 when it's on sale.
It's pretty sturdy, and makes a great temp stand at centuries, etc. You can pedal and adjust gearing, etc.
You can't sit on it, though I have. With a bungee onto the front wheel, it's great for wrapping bars.

I have about 8 of these. They work pretty well for a static display stand but are a little flexy and fragile.

About four years ago, a friend asked if I had any use for these things. There were about twenty, NOS, Suntour stands, nearly identical to the one the OP presents.

I had a rough idea what they were for, and accepted them but not immediately. As it turned out, there was lots of mouse poop in the box, and what looked like a shredded paper mouse house. And, the whole works smelled of urine.

Well, I cleaned and bleached the stands, most were wrapped in plastic tubes anyway, and have been using them ever since. Here are some on them, helping to display a one man vintage bicycle show I put on to raise money for Bicycles for Humanity. I earned $564.00 for our organization in a single day of showing off my bikes...

When I worked at an LBS we called the...display stands. I probably still have a couple in a box somewhere.

+1 Display stands, I got them at Niagara Cycle. I actually like their crank arm mounted stand better (its more stable).

And here's the cheaper dimension stand:

@randy: wow - what a great display! Still can't get over the variety of bikes that ended up in "tunder-baie"....

@O I got the VO one and am happy - its good when you need to move the bike somewhere temporary (but I had to ask here how to use it when I first got it )

I call them double leg stands or Persons stands.

I sometimes think they should have called it Randy's Bikeworld instead of Thunder Bay. Personally I'd love to spend a couple of days in T-Bay myself, poking around in that shed of his, probably find all the parts I would like to rebuild the wife's bike 256 times over.... Unfortunately shipping from T'Bay to Wiarton is more expensive then I would like.....

I've always known them to be called "Persons Stands", after the manufacturer.
