In the process of building. Just touched up most of the rusty spots. It will be a rider, not a showpiece, for sure.

Here's a Michael Bornstein reportedly built in 1986 while he was working for Andy Newlands at Strawberry, then took it with him to Michael's cyclery in Ames Iowa where it spent time as Greg Meeker's training bike. It came with brakes engraved with "Michael's Ames IA".

You'll have to imagine my 1988 RB-2. I restored it last summer and began riding again. I don't have enough posts yet so I can't upload.

cool idea

Cool idea, will give multiple examples of good, better, and best bikes for people to search on net, read about their construction, company history, and learn about good, better and best components. And to know what they are looking at when considering a 40 dollar bike at Goodwill store.

Mid 80's Bosomworth. NZ

Made in Rotorua, New Zealand by Eddie Bosomworth with Columbus tubing. I have since replaced this Shimano 600 Crankset with the original OfMega one as chainline and fit on gipiemme BB just didn't marry that well. Now its a very sweet ride for the

West Coast of NZ.

^ Nice. I believe there's another Kiwi manufacturer beginning with B that would fit in here nicely.

Very nice!

I've probably posted these two snapshots before, but not in this thread...

1979 Bridgestone "Kabuki" Skyway

1990 Bridgestone RB-1

I've had the Skyway since new, but I've only had the RB-1 for less than one year and ~2500 miles. Love them both, but differently. Sadly, in November a car struck me and bent the RB-1. Repairing it doesn't make economic sense, but I might anyhow since it's got a lot of mojo for me. It seemed to accelerate on its own accord at the start of every Strava segment. Lively. For now, I've built up a nice Soma Smoothie. I made the big mistake of putting 700x32mm "4 Season" tires on it for winter/training, and with that horrible handicap it's less fun to ride than the venerable Skyway.

I would encourage you to reach out to @gugie for an evaluation. He can likely help make more economical sense of the situation and get you back on it.

I would not give up on the RB1 , they are very nice bikes and have a fair amount of value. I guess it depends on how badly it is "bent". I hope the bike got the worst of it i.e. you are ok. Joe

Bruce Gordon. Was going to wait for the Gs but I see some other BGs that need company.
